[Xenoblade-Daughter of Purple] Chapter 5

Keyara sighed as she walked back to the green district, back home. She didn't feel too great about her meeting with Melia, and it scared...no...terrified her of what the Princess may be thinking. She was cautious during the meeting to being with, and then when she noticed Melias' ether waves seemed red when she mentioned Fiora, it worried Keyara.

'What is she going to do?' Keyara thought as she neared the green district.

As she neared, she heard someone call her name.

"Keyara!" a females voice called out, and Keyara turned her head upon entering, and saw Fiora running her way, a small box in her hands.

"How was the meeting?" Fiora asked, giving Keyara her cheerful smile, and it made Keyara smile, despite how worried she was.

"It was...kinda...bad. Princess Melia is giving me really bad vibes, and now I think I might be on her bad list." Keyara said, giving an exhausted sigh.

"Wanna talk about it?" Fiora suggested, hugging her arm.

"Nah, but I'll tell you later tonight after I get some work for the Mistress done." Keyara said, and Fiora nodded, before handing her the small, wrapped box.

"Alright, anyways. I made you lunch so you won't have to worry about eating curry 24/7." Fiora said, and smiled at Keyara, making Keyara chuckle.

"Alright...and...can you stay with Shulk until I get home? I have a bad feeling something in the future may happen." Keyara said, her purple eyes shining a bit.

'But when will it happen?' Keyara wondered.

With the Mistress: Keyara smiled, holding the bags full of ether crystals, 5 of each kind.

"Alright, and you wish me to take these to the Red District?" Keyara questioned the Mistress, who nodded.

"Yes. From what I heard, they are running low of ether crystals for the ether lamps. When you return, I will give you the pay." The Mistress said, and Keyara nodded, leaving.

As she got closer to the red district, she noticed many ether lamps, and she groaned, feeling ether hit her every-which-way.

'Why do they have so many freaking ether lamps?!' Keyara thought, hating the overwhelming feel of ether.

She noticed the big house in the center of the district, and she figured that was Sharla, the Leader of the Red District's, house.

She got the the steps, and knocked on the door, hoping they were awake as it was night time. To her surprise, the door opened, and a boy, no older than about 15, 16, appeared.

"Y-yes, may I help you?" the boy asked.

He had brownish/orange hair, green eyes, and skin darker than hers as she was pale. Keyara noticed he seemed a little hesitate to open the door, but it made her smile. She remembered the rumor that had gone around.

"Yes, is Lady Sharla here?" Keyara asked, and held up the bag of ether crystals.

"Oh, so you're delivering them. I was told it would be a new person, but I didn't know it'd be a...never mind, come in." The boy said, cutting his sentence off, and letting her in.

"Anyways, my name is Juju, and my sister is Sharla. She's in her chamber, but she's awake. If you'll follow me." Juju said, and had Keyara follow him.

As Juju had said, Sharla was in her room, reading a book about ether rifle's. Juju knocked on the open door, catching her attention.

"Sharla, the delivery girl has appeared." Juju stated, and Sharla nodded.

"Alright, thank you Juju. Please come in." Sharla said, looking at Keyara as Juju left.

"Here's the ether crystals Lady Sharla. 5 of each, just like you ordered." Keyara said, laying the bags down before Sharla.

"Thank you, and you don't need to be so formal with me. You can just call me Sharla, none of that Lady stuff is needed." Sharla said, giving Keyara a soft smile, making Keyara return it.

"Alright Sharla. Anyways, where do you want me to put them?" Keyara asked, and Sharla pointed toward her right wall, loaded with books.

"Over there, I'll look through them tomorrow morning. Are you the delivery from now on?" Sharla asked, looking at Keyara.

"I do a multitude of things. The Mistress loves having me around as I can sense ether crystals, and find them easily. I can also control ether." Keyara said, and Sharlas' eyes went wide a little in shock.

"You can feel, and control ether?" Sharla asked, and Keyara turned toward her, giving a nervous smile.

"Y-yeah. It's a unique ability from what I've been told as no one else has such an ability, but I see it as both a curse and a gift. A gift because it makes jobs that I do easy, and it helps me protect those I love. But it's also a curse because then I get overwhelmed by too much ether, and it has the eye of suspicious people...including Lady Melia." Keyara said, but whispered the last part.

"I know what you mean when it comes to Melia." Sharla said, and Keyara sighed with a nod, and looked at her.

"Yeah, she gives me bad vibes." Keyara said, and Sharla chuckled.

"Haahaa, same here." Sharla said, and Keyara smiled.

"Well, I gotta get going. I need to get back home to Fiora, and check up on her." Keyara said, and before she left, Sharla tapped her shoulder.

"Say Keyara, seeing as we're similar, we should probably hang out sometime. I don't go out during the day much due to the robbery, so it gets a little lonely." Sharla said, and Keyara smiled at her.

"Sure. If I have any off days, I could hang out with you, and maybe you could meet Shulk and Fiora." Keyara suggested, and Sharla chuckled.

"Alright then. Well Sharla, I'll meet you later." Keyara said and left, leaving a smiling Sharla.

"You know Juju, I like the new delivery girl." Sharla said to Juju who walked into the hallway.
