Okami: The Waning Eclipse Snippet's

'Why...why me?' Luna thought, growling as she left the Moon Cave, limping toward Oki.

"LUNA?! What happened, I hear you howl...are you okay?" Oki asked worried, he had promised Waka and Amaterasu that he would watch her until they return.

"I-I'm okay...let's just leave." Luna stated weakly...she was growing weak.

She didn't understand the 8-shadow heads she saw...just what was going on? Something bad was going to happen...Waka and Amaterasu needed to return now!

"Are you sure?" Amaterasu asked Issun, the Envoy nodding.

"She lost her voice after her trip to the Moon Cave to remove the last of the Imp's, but Oki said something happened. She howled in pain, and a week after her return...she couldn't speak." Issun explained, looking nervous.

"This isn't good. If Luna can't speak, she can't howl; and if she can't howl she can't make a Eclipse, therefore she can't gain any sort of power." Waka explained, looking worried.

"What do we do?!" Amaterasu shouted, looking at the weakening Luna...she would die if nothing was done.

"No, you have to stay here!" Amaterasu told Luna sternly, but she shook her head.

"She says she's not leaving your side, that she wants to help. She says while she can't use her brush technique's, her weapons will be of great help." Issun relayed, having made a mind-connection with Luna to help her speak to the others.

"B-but...FINE!" Amaterasu growled out, before he looked at Luna sternly.

"But be careful, I really don't want you getting hurt more than you already are." Amaterasu said seriously, before he nuzzled her...worry evident in everything he did.

"Is she going to make it?" Oki asked Waka, the Celestial being giving a sigh of sadness.

"I don't know Oki...I seriously don't. Luna has made it through thick and thin...but nothing like this. We have limited time...we have to get her voice back before the last of her power wane's. ...We have until winter...before she dies..." Waka explained, and Oki paled.

"B-but that's only a few month's away, isn't there something we can do?!" Oki shouted, looking over at Amaterasu and Luna, seeing the two cuddled together.

"I'm afraid not...I wish there was more I could do!" Waka shouted, tears appearing in his eyes.

"I-I'm sorry...I should've...l-listened..." Luna stated, crimson blood staining her black coat.

"Luna...no, hang on!" Amaterasu shouted, before Waka attacked a few demons trying to attack them.

"Amaterasu...it's no use...while my voice...has r-returned...my power's...are beyond lost. I can use my Eclipse like this...it won't do any good..." Luna stated, before wincing as blood poured from her wound, trickling from her mouth and staining the ground.

"Luna..." Amaterasu whimpered out, tears falling from his eyes.

"After everything we've done...this is our reward..." Waka said sadly...looking over the great plain's of Nippon, Amaterasu with Issun beside him.

"It's not worth it...the price of a loved one...for a world where no one believe's in God's." Amaterasu stated bitterly, a snarl on his face.

"We may yet have time...time to save Luna...and Nippon again. Orochi has returned to his true form, Ninetails' reincarnation is running amok, and shadow forms of Oki's tribe are appearing. We have time, limited yes, but still time. We can save Luna...and with her help, save Nippon." Waka explained, the wind blowing through his blonde hair, his blue eyes more serious than Amaterasu and Issun have ever seen.

"I agree...we have a job to do. Luna needs us, as does Nippon...and I won't stop until both are safe." Amaterasu stated, smiling.

"Looks like this adventure isn't over yet!" Issun shouted, smiling in joy at a continuing travel.

"Alright then...let's go!" Waka shouted, and ran off with Amaterasu and Issun, all three intent on saving Nippon, and Luna.

Nippon needed them...Luna needed them, and they would have help from past friends, and very unlikely allies. But there was a secret Luna carried...what could it be, and how will it affect the journey? Just what has happened to the peaceful era Waka and Amaterasu had hoped they made?
