InuYasha and group meet Reina

Katinara smiled as she watched InuYasha walk around with Kagome, who had recently returned. Katinara decided she had delayed her greeting long enough, and stood, hoping to find Ryoko as well, so they could both greet Kagome for her return.

'I wonder he took her anyways...she might actually be training with Shippo.' Katinara thought, but pushed the thought aside to find Ryoko.

With InuYasha: Kagome smiled at him, and hugged him arm, making him smile back at her, and nuzzle the top of her head.

"I'm glad you're back Kagome." InuYasha said, hugging Kagome closer to him.

"And I'm glad to be back." Kagome said, looking him in the eye.

Before they could do anything, someone ran into Kagome knocking her to the ground.

"Hi Kagome!" a cheerful young voice said.

"Shippo! Where have you been?" Kagome asked the young fox demon.

"I just got back from training." Shippo said as Kagome stood up, holding the younger fox demon.

"Training?" Kagome asked confused.

"Yeah, Shippo has been going to a nearby fox village for training in his skills. He comes back every chance he gets to say hi, and to play with Sangos' and Mirokus' kids." InuYasha said, ruffling Shippos' hair.

"Kagome!" A female voice called out.

"...It can't be." Kagome said turning around, and smiled.

Katinara was waving to her with Ryoko beside her on a small hilltop. Kagome put Shippo down, before running to Katinara and Ryoko to greet them. Katinara and Kagome hugged once Kagome reached them, and then Ryoko and Kagome hugged, glad to see the other was alright.

"Kagome, it's so good to see you." Katinara said to Kagome, her tail wagging.

"And it's great to see you guys. Where have you two been the last three days?" Kagome asked them, and Katinara chuckled.

"Heehee, the last three days, I've been waiting for him to return with a certain someone." Katinara said, poking Ryoko who chuckled.

"A certain someone?" Kagome asked as InuYasha and Shippo came over.

"Yeah...and...this is something even InuYasha doesn't know." Katinara said, drawing a confused look from the half-demon.

"Something I don't know?" InuYasha asked, his eyes starting to narrow in suspicion.

"Yeah...first...can we get everyone together. I'm sure Miroku, Sango, and their kids would like to hear, as well as Keade and Rin." Katinara said, rubbing her neck, blushing as was Ryoko.

Later: Everyone was in Keades' hut, looking at Katinara and Ryoko in confusion.

"So, what is it you wanted to tell us, sis?" InuYasha asked, and Katinara sighed.

"Don't hate me for not telling you earlier. Aside from Kagome, you all know that week I spent with Sessohmaru at his castle, with Ryoko right?" Katinara asked, and they all nodded, except Kagome.

"Hn? I'll tell you later Kagome. Anyways, something happened there, which is why I stayed a week, instead of a day like I excepted." Katinara said, and looked behind her, and sighed.

"This is what happened." Katinara said, and pushed someone out from behind her.

Everyone gasped as they saw a young girl, holding Katinaras' hakama, and looking at everyone. She seemed incredibly shy at the moment, trying to hide her face in her mothers hakama pants. She had red hair, with the tips of her hair white, and she had two small ears, where the base of the ears were white, and the tips of them where white as well, while the middle stayed red. Her tail was similar to her mothers and fathers. The bottom and tip of the tail were white, while the rest was white, and her tail stayed flat, as her ears were dropped.

"This...is our daughter." Katinara said, patting the young girls head.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on?! What the hell?! How did this happen?" InuYasha asked, standing up, a look of horror, and confusion on his face.

"Honestly InuYasha, I excepted you to be smarter. After Kagome departure, me and Ryoko mated, and that resulted in me having Reina. I was going to Sessohmaru with Ryoko to announce that me and Ryoko were now mates, when suddenly, I went into labor." Katinara said, and Ryoko rubbed his neck.

"I was there for a week to recover after giving birth, and since Reina still needed caring and was unable to start moving, Sessohmaru said him, with the maids would look after Reina. She's almost four years old at the moment, but I left with Sessohmaru, when I got a letter, about three months after I got back, that she was already in training! Anyways, after awhile, I heard she was going to a fox village for training her fox fire, and she stayed at the palace for physical training. She recently got back from training, since she's now able to start moving around, and living in different area's." Katinara said, smiling at the little girl.

"What's her name?" Kagome asked.

"REINA!" Shippo said, blushing, unable to hold it in any longer.

"Shippo? How do you know our daughter?" Ryoko asked, looking suspicious.

"She has been going to the same fox village I had been going to for training. I didn't know she was your guys daughter." Shippo said, looking at Reina in surprise, who was looking at him in surprise as well.

"Me and her always ate together at the village during breaks, and they actually had me helping her with her fox fire." Shippo said, forming a fox fire in his hands, seeing if she would imitate it.

They all watched as Reina put her hands together, and formed a fox fire of her own, and smiled a little bit at Shippo. Shippo smiled back, and dispersed it, as did she, and then she looked at her mother, pleadingly, and Katinara sighed, but smiled at her. Reina smiled, and walked toward Shippo and sat down before him, her tail wagging, and he chuckled.

"So that's why you left every now and then, to check up on Reina." InuYasha said, walking toward Katinara and sighed.

"Next time you have a kid, let me know, okay?" InuYasha asked, and Katinara just punched his shoulder, and the two laughed.

"Yeah, we were waiting till she came back to us to tell everyone." Ryoko said, clapping his hands.

Reina looked at him, and smiled, went towards him, and he picked her up.

"So, to officially announce it, everyone, this is Reina Kisonagi, our daughter." Katinara said, and everyone smiled at one another, and clapped.

Reina blushed, and tried to hide herself in her dad's hair, hoping it would hide her face. Kagome stood up, and held her hands out.

"May I see her?" Kagome asked, and Katinara nodded.

Katinara grabbed her daughter, who clung to her, and tried to hide in her longer hair, making Katinara sigh. She walked toward Kagome, and Reina looked at her, seeming a bit scared.

"Reina, this is young Aunt, Kagome." Katinara said, making InuYasha and Kagome blush.

Reina looked at her mom one more time, before looking at Kagome. She reached a hand out, and Kagome held up a hand as well. Reina touched her hand, before grabbing a few strands of hair, feeling them, before reaching both hands out to Kagome. Katinara smiled, and handed Reina over to Kagome, who smiled at the little girl, and Reina smiled back.

"Can she talk yet?" Kagome asked as InuYasha came over, to get accommodated to his niece.

"Surprisingly enough, she can. Then again, in their childhood, demons grow faster, and learn faster than some would think." Katinara said as Miroku and Sango stood.

Miroku was holding his two girls, while Sango held their son, and they all looked at Reina.

"She's taken on both of your traits. I see she has one blue eye, and one yellow eye." Sango pointed out, smiling.

"Yep, she's a hybrid, yet a full demon. She has fox, wolf, and dog in her, not a trace of human. Sessohmaru proved that, saying that on the nights of the new moon, she didn't transform." Katinara said, and they all chuckled.

Kagome handed Reina over to InuYasha, making Reina sniff him, before hugging around his neck.

"Wha-?!" InuYasha blushed as his niece hugged him, and he sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Heehee, she smells the similarity in our blood, the dog demon side. She knows your family, so she's completely comfortable with you." Katinara said, giving a toothy grin.

"Oh, shut up." InuYasha said, looking at the girl, and smiled.

The rest of the day was spent talking, getting to know Reina, and catching up on what they missed. They soon figured out that in three days, Reina and Shippo had to go back to the village to continue training, so they spent as much time with them as possible, even though the two felt suffocated every now and then. One thing they all knew, they wouldn't trade this for anything.
