Flarena hatches!

Aqueena smiled as her tail wrapped around a red egg, and she laid her head by her tail. Her skin had turned to a slightly light blue color. Back as a kid, she was a very light blue, but now she was as blue as Cyril, if not a bit darker. Suddenly the door to the room opened, and Ignitus came in, and smiled at her.

"Ah, Ignitus. How did the meeting go?" Aqueena asked, and Ignitus smiled nuzzling her.

"It went well. Zora, and the Chronicler were happy to see us. We're still trying to get in contact with the Wind leader and the Water leader." Ignitus stated, and laid by Aqueena, wrapping a tail around her.

"If only Pearl was still around, she could get in contact with the water leader. We'd have no trouble with finding Airia, as she knows the wind leader, but she's out on a mission isn't she?" Aqueena asked, and Ignitus nodded.

"Yes, she is. But we still have time concerning Malefor. All we need to do is care for this little one." Ignitus said, touching the red egg.

Aqueena smiled, and nuzzled Ignitus, who nuzzled back. Aqueena had laid the egg a few months ago, so it was close, but exactly how close was unsure.

Next Week: Aqueena was walking the halls, taking the egg back to the hatchery. She was carrying it in a small basket that was heated by coal that Aqueena had her personal guard heat. By the time she had gotten close to the nursery, something cracking sounded. Aqueena froze in her tracks, why did that sound so familiar...like she should know it?

'It can't be...?' Aqueena looked at the basket, and gasped. The egg was cracking. Aqueenas' eyes went wide, and her pupils shrank. It can't be! The egg was hatching early.

"IGNITUS!" Aqueena shouted, and ran to the nursing wing, so the egg could hatch more safely.

With Ignitus: He smiled as him, Terrador, Cyril, and Volteer had finished speaking, and were now walking the halls.

"So tomorrow, there's no meeting thankfully. Hopefully our letter will reach the Wind Lord." Cyril said, and Terrador sighed.

"There may be no meeting tomorrow. But the day after tomorrow there will be." Terrador stated.

"In the meantime Ignitus, how is Aqueena and the egg doing?" Volteer asked, as the others looked at him, and he blushed, smiling.

"Ah, she's doing great. So is the egg, in fact..." Ignitus was cut off as someone shouted for him.

"IGNITUS!" That was Aqueenas' voice.

Ignitus gasped and followed her scent, the others following behind him.

Nursing Wing: Aqueena panicked. They were having trouble with the egg, as the shell was too thick, and the nurse's were worried they were gonna loose the egg. Aqueena wasn't allowed in, and that made it all the worse. Tears rolled down her face as she noticed they were extremely worried.

"No...please, don't let me loose my egg." Aqueena said, fear in her eyes.

Suddenly Ignitus stopped by Aqueena with Cyril, Terrador, and Cyril.

"Aqueena, what's wrong?" He asked.

"The egg..." She stated, and he looked inside, and gasped with the others.

The egg had cracks, but the dragon inside was having trouble cracking the rest to get out. Ignitus growled, wanting to do in, but just as Aqueena, he knew he wasn't allowed in. Suddenly a bright red leg popped out from the bottom, and an arm from the top. The hatchling was breaking through. Aqueena smiled, and finally they were all allowed in. Aqueena and Ignitus went toward the red egg, and watched in anticipation as the hatchling broke the red of the egg, and yawned.

"Aw, she's adorable." Terrador said, looking at the young dragoness in adoration.

"She is." Ignitus said, and nuzzled Aqueenas' cheek, who smiled.

The young dragoness opened her eyes, to reveal they were red as well.

"Well, she takes after you." Aqueena said, and kissed his cheek.

"That maybe be, but she has your charm." Ignitus said as Aqueena leaned against him.

"What're you gonna call her?" Volteer asked.

"How about Nari?" Cyril questioned.

"Don't name her that? Call her Ember." Terrador said.

"Ember is too childish, call her Kalama." Volteer suggested.

"Everyone, let Ignitus name her." Aqueena scolded, and everyone went quiet.

"Hm..." Ignitus said, as he looked at his daughter.

The young red dragoness coughed, and a small ball of flame appeared, and dispersed as the wind hit it. Ignitus' eyes lite up, and he smiled.

"Flarena. Her name is Flarena." Ignitus said, referring to fire a little bit.

"I like it." Aqueena said, licking his chin.

"It suits her well." A males voice said, and they saw the Chronicler and Zora.

"Ah, Zora, Chronicler, it's good to see you two." Terrador said, and they all bowed to one another.

"I see the egg had hatched. We came by to visit, and heard that everyone was at the nursery wing of the temple." Zora said.

"We thought someone was hurt. Glad to see it's just the egg had hatched. Very joyous if I must say so." the Chronicler said, and they all smiled.

Flarena, the young dragoness looked up at them, before coughing again, and a small fire ball appeared again before disappearing. She yawned, and then curled up to sleep, and Aqueena smiled. She may have hatched early, but she was still adorable. Aqueena picked her up, bowed to Zora and the Chronicler one last time, before leaving with the young dragoness to sleep.

"She knows more than one element." The Chronicler said as Cyril, Terrador, and Volteer disappeared.

"Who?" Ignitus asked.

"You daughter Flarena, she also knows fear. She knows only fear and fire from the looks of it. It's uncommon for a dragon to be born with more than one element, but it's not as uncommon as a purple dragon." The Chronicler said.

"Hm..." Ignitus thought, but smiled.

"I guess that just makes her even more special. If that's even possible." Ignitus said in pride, of course he figured she'd know fear, since Aqueena knew ice and fear.

They all went back to the room where Aqueena was staying, and watched as she laid Flarena down to sleep, before she laid down herself. She wrapped a tail around Flarena, and watched as the young dragoness snuggled into Aqueenas' side, making Aqueena smile sweetly, before the two fell asleep. Ignitus smiled, happy to see his family happy, and safe. As long as they were happy, he knew he was happy.
