Flarena and Spyro meet!

It was snowing hard on Dante's Freezer as Spyro walked through the area, looking for Volteer, before he sighed. He had defeated many of Cynders' minions on his way, but it seemed to him as though it would only snow harder.

"Hey Spyro, how about we take a rest real quick?" Sparx suggested, starting to shiver.

"Yeah...that's probably a good idea." Spyro said as they made their way to one of the destroyed tower's.

As they neared it, Spyro saw something red, and stopped, a brow raised. Sparx noticed, stopped, and flew back to Spyro.

"Huh? Hey Spyro, you okay, dude?" Sparx asked, curious.

"Yeah...but did Ignitus follow us?" Spyro said, pointing to the red creature.

"Huh? Maybe..." Sparx said and followed Spyro.

As they neared, they noticed it was actually a small dragoness, who seemed to be hurt and unconscious. Spyro gasped, and walked toward her, before he looked her over.

"Wow...she's hurt really bad, Spyro." Sparx stated, noticing all the wounds.

"What...happened to her? Looks like she's been in quiet a few fights." Spyro said, shocked a dragoness, around his age, was out here alone...literally.

"Yeah, uh Spyro, I know you kinda want to just sit here, but shouldn't we, and her, get somewhere safer and shelter?" Sparx suggested, and Spyro nodded, agreeing.

As night fell over Dante's Freezer, Spyro and Sparx had a small fire going. The red dragoness had been healed due to Spyro gathering crystals, and now they were waiting for her to awaken. They didn't have to wait much longer as she groaned, and opened her eyes. She lifted her head, and looked around before she gasped, her gaze landing on Spyro.

"Hey, are you okay?" Spyro asked, walking toward her, and sitting down beside her.

"You're...alive?" Flarena asked, and Sparx sighed.

"Oh goodie, everybody knows us. Hey Spyro, we're famous." Sparx said sarcastically, and Spyro sighed.

"Just ignore him, and yes, I'm alive. But are you alright, you looked really bad earlier." Spyro said, and Flarena nodded, sitting up.

"Yeah, I feel fine, thank you. But I'm surprised you're alive, much less that I was able to meet you finally." Flarena stated, smiling at him.

"Finally? What do you mean?" Spyro asked, curious.

"I went looking for a purple dragon, obviously you, a few years ago. I returned home recently when I turned 13 after I couldn't find you, and that was a year ago. A few months after I returned, we were attacked, and the Guardians were all captured, except my father, Ignitus. He-!" Flarena was cut off by Sparx speaking.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a second. Ignitus, is your old man? You mean to say the Fire Guardian is your dad?" Sparx asked, shocked as was Spyro.

"Yes, I take it you meet him? Is he alright?" Flarena asked, worried her dad was hurt.

"He has a few wounds, but overall, he's alright. He helped us reclaim the temple again." Spyro said, and Flarena sighed in relief.

"I'm glad he's alright. My dad seemed to have lost hope after I was captured. He tried to save me...but he encounter Cynder, and was left badly wounded after I had her chase me. Since then, I thought maybe she went back to get him, but I'm glad to know he's safe." Flarena said, and Spyro hummed.

"May I ask why you're out here? This isn't place for us to be at alone." Spyro stated, and Flarena sighed.

"I was able to evade Cynder and came here after I heard Volteer was here. I had hoped to save him...but then I was attacked by a few Dreadwings, and after I drove them off, got attacked by Cynder again. I think she left me for dead as I'm not really of any use to her." Flarena explained, giving a heavy sigh.

"I see. Well, come with us. We're here to save Volteer, so we might be able to take you back to Ignitus." Spyro suggested, and Sparx sighed.

"Sheesh, well aren't you just Mr. Nice Guy." Sparx said, and Flarena laughed.

"Sure, I'll tag along. Besides, with the two armies here fighting, we'll have to help one another either way." Flarena said, smiling at him, and Spyro smiled back.

"Great. Then once the sun rises, we'll head out." Spyro said, and Flarena nodded.

"Sure, and Spyro?" Flarena said, getting his attention again.

"Don't tell my dad I was, indeed, captured. We'll just tell him I was there to save Volteer as well, and we meet. Besides, my dad has a short temper when it comes to me." Flarena explained, and Spyro nodded.

"Alright, I'll keep it a secret. Besides, with how good of a fighter he is, I really wouldn't like to see him angry." Spyro stated, and Flarena smiled her gratefulness.
