Claire and Hiccup meet.

A girl with white hair in a ponytail that laid over one shoulder, and bright blue eyes smiled at the sight she was at. She was wearing a black shirt with riding gear over that, and brown pants with black shoes. The girl, Claire sighed as she stretched. She was 20 years old now, meaning she'd lived in the forest for 10 years now. Her two oldest Nightfury's, Sevnera and Sintaki laid side-by-side since they were mates, and Frosteva laid by the fire, trying to keep her body warm. Claire sighed as she grabbed a blanket and laid it on Frosteva, but she tried to protest.

"No Frosteva, don't even try. Your body doesn't want to work right, so we need to keep you warm. White Nightfury's are only born every thousand years, your special to me also Frosteva." Claire said hugging Frosteva around the neck.

Frosteva hatched to early, and because of that, her body wasn't fully developed, making her pron to everything she walked by. Especially the cold. Her immune system had built up, so infections weren't a problem anymore, but she could never stay warm during winter.

"I'll be back soon you three. Sevnera, Sintaki, look after Frosteva until I get back." Claire said, and walked off, bow and arrows with her, as well as a spear, and basket.

Elsewhere: A boy with short brown hair, brown eyes, and wearing brown fur over a green outfit, with a dagger around his waist smiled at a pure black Nightfury.

"Well Toothless, what should we do today?" the boy asked his Nightfury, Toothless, who nudged him, making the boy sighed.

"So, your saying 'me and Hiccup explore'? But Toothless, we've already done that." Hiccup said, but Toothless was persistent.

"Oh alright, let's go." Hiccup said, and they began to explore the forest.

As they explored they came to a stream where the shinning water ran at a smooth pace. They looked around and suddenly saw a girl catch fish. Hiccup and Toothless hid behind a tree and watched.

"Okay, that should be enough for the four of us. I hope she gets better soon, that blanket won't keep her warm forever." the girl, who had white hair said.

"Who is she?" Hiccup questioned himself, and saw a dragon come toward her, it was a Deadly Nadder.

Hiccup was about to save her, but saw the girl smile, and pet it.

"Why hello there Nadder, it's good to see you again today. You always show up at the right time when I'm here. Here, eat this." The girl said, and gave the Nadder a big fish in which the Nadder ate it.

"Can you take this to the sight? You know where I am right?" The girl asked the Nadder who nodded and gave a gurgle.

"I know, I know. We move constantly, but I've been in one place for the past three days due to you know who. She's still cold as ever." The girl said, and gave the Nadder the basket as it flew off.

Hiccup was shocked to say the least. This girl interacted with dragons very well, so who as she? The girl grabbed her bow and Arrows, and pulled the string a few times, before smiling in bliss.

"Alright, it's still good. Time to do more hunting." The girl said and ran off.

With Claire: Claire had caught a few squirrels and wild boars to feed herself and her Nightfury's with, and when she got there, she saw Sevnera and Sintaki with their wings over Frosteva, keeping her warm and protecting her.

"Thanks you two, watch out. I caught a fire-fish for her." Claire said putting gloves on and taking out a pure red fire that looked the color of fire, but steam was coming off it.

"AH! Still hot with gloves on." Claire said and gave the fish to Frosteva who ate it, and smiled as her body warmed up quickly.

"Good. Alright then, I'll begin cooking the squirrels and boars for today's lunch and dinner, that way we have something to eat." Claire said and sat down on a rock, unknown to her that Hiccup and Toothless were watching her.

"Look Toothless, she has Nightfury's with her, more than one. I thought that Nadder was her's." Hiccup whispered to Toothless who nodded.

Claire stretched as she got up, letting the fire keep going before going to Frosteva, and feeling her body. Much warmer, good, it needs to stay that way.

"Until we can get your body functioning again, I need to keep finding those Fire-Fish, but their so hard to come across now. I guess Berk Village has a lot of people fishing for those fish to stay warm during winter also. That reminds me that about two months ago they made peace with Dragons, which is a good thing. I hate seeing Dragon's getting killed." Claire said and hugged Frosteva.

Hiccup watched a delicate black, red, and white Nightfury go toward the girl, Claire. The female Nightfury was completely black, with three red line son her face. Two around her eyes, one on her forehead. Her back was completely red, as was the top of her wings, as was the top of her tail, and even the fins on her tail were red. Her paws were red as well, and she had blue eyes. Her stomach and bottom of her tail were white as well, and her spine wasn't small like Toothless's or Frostevas', but was long and sharp, as were her horns. They weren't floppy or round, but sturdy and Sharp, obviously showing she was a much older Nightfury.

"How is she?" The Nightfury asked Claire, but Hiccup only understood gurgling coming from the dragon, while Claire understood the language.

"She's fine Sevnera, don't worry. Her body has warmed up greatly thanks to the fire fish. Did you two thank the Nadder that dropped the basket off?" Claire asked.

A Nightfury that looked similar to Sevnera lifted his head with a nod as he had gone back to laying down. His body looked like Toothless's with the type, but his appearance was much different. He had white lines around his eyes, with a red diamond sign in the center of his head. He was completely black with a red back, and red covering the top of his wings, and white covering the bottom of his wings. The top of his tail was red, but the tail fins were black. His paws were white as was his stomach, and his eyes were a dark red color. His spine was also sharp and long, and his horns were just like Sevneras': Long and Sharp as well.

"Where did she find these Nightfury's?" Hiccup asked himself as he watched Claire interact with her Nightfury's.

"And how can she understand what their saying? I understand by signs, but she seems to read their language." Hiccup said in a whisper as Toothless laid beside him.

It was getting late when Hiccup knew he needed to get back. He got up, making sure his left leg didn't make a sound as he got up, but he wanted to get a closer look on them, so he went looking for a path closer to them, and walked down toward them, hiding behind some bushes. Claire got up, and checked Frosteva again, noting how he body was still hot.

"Good, still warm, are you feeling okay Frosteva?" Claire asked Frosteva, who nodded.

"Good." Claire said and turned around to sit back down, but Hiccup took a step forward to get a better look at the scene, but his foot went forward a bit too much, and he fell forward.

"AH!" Hiccup shouted as he fell into the scene.

Sevnera, Sintaki, and Frosteva gasped, while Claire did the same, but brought out her sword and shield. Sevnera and Sintaki walked toward him growling, but then Toothless jumped in, and stood over Hiccup protectively, not allowing Hiccup to be hurt.

"A Nightfury? Stand down you two, there harmless. I have a feeling they mean no harm." Claire said putting her sword away and shield on her back, while she pointed at Frosteva and clapped twice, and they stood over Frosteva.

"Who are you?" Claire asked walking toward them as Hiccup got out from under Toothless, and Claire held a hand out to him, and he took it.

"I'm Hiccup, what're you doing in the forest?" Hiccup asked.

"Oh...I...uh...I...live here." Claire said and took three steps back, noting wanting to invade personal space.

"Really? Why?" Hiccup asked, but she shrugged.

"No reason really. I just never did well in villages." Claire said with a nervous laugh.

"Oh." Hiccup looked around, looking at the three Nightfury's, and smiled.

"I thought all Nightfury's were gone. I thought Toothless was the last one." Hiccup said patting Toothless.

"He's pitch black!" Claire said shocked.

It was said that only pure colored dragons were born every thousand years. To see Toothless pitch black, and her had a completely white Nightfury was quite unusual.

"Yeah, why wouldn't he be completely black? He's called a Nightfury for a reason." Hiccup said, and Claire smiled.

"Well, I'm shocked for a reason. Pure colored Nightfury's are only born every one thousand years. It's that way because two pure colored dragons can never mate on time to keep them from being rare." Claire explained, and smiled.

"You seem to know a lot about Nightfury's." Hiccup stated, and she smiled sitting down, and motioned for him to sit also.

"Because I've lived with them my whole life." Claire said and began to explain everything to Hiccup.

She told Hiccup how she lived with Sevnera and Sintaki her whole life, and how she found Frosteva, the white Nightfury injured in this forest. She told Hiccup how she understood them, and Toothless told Claire that he was as old as Frosteva from the looks of it.

"To know that two pure colored Nightfury's were born the same day is quite a shock. Usually one would die while the other would survive. I guess that's why Frostevas' body doesn't give her the heat she needs when it starts to get cold. She's been sick since the day I found her, but her body is starting to get on the right track again." Claire explained, and he smiled.

"That's good. You know, you should come to Berk village." Hiccup said, and she tensed and looked at him.

"What? Why?!" Claire asked, and he smiled.

"We could use your help. You seem to understand the dragons, and your help would be really appreciated at the village. We need all the help with the dragons we can get." Hiccup said and Claire sighed looking down.

"I'll...uh...I'll...give it some thought." Claire said and Hiccup nodded.

They talked a little bit more before Toothless and Hiccup decided to head back home.

'I don't think I can ever have home again. Not after what happened with me at my old home.' Claire thought and sighed as she went to bed.
