Professor Oak, Delia, Ash, and Gary Oak sat before Karen who kept coughing, hoping they could help her in some way. Professor Oak placed a hand on one side of her face, and she smiled weakly at him.
"I'm sorry I was so reckless Oak." Karen said, and her Mightyena whimpered but Karen smiled sadly at him.
"It's not your fault Karen. You were determined to find your daughter, as we are all determined to find Calie." Oak said and Karen nodded as oak removed his hand.
"I know. I just wish I knew where they toke my little girl." Karen said as tears pricked her blue eyes.
"I-I promise y-you Karen. I-I will find h-her. E-Even if it's t-the l-last thing I-I do!" Ash said sobbing.
He had grown close to Karen and Calie, so once Calie was kidnapped, his heart broke in two. Gary nodded before looking at Karen.
"Same here K-Karen. I-I'll help Ash f-find h-her. I-I promise!" Gary said and Karen only gave them a sad smile.
Gary, just like Ash, had grown fond of Karen and Calie, and even though he kept his emotion's to himself, everyone could tell her had a slight crush on Calie, but Ash was oblivious to it.
"Thank you, both of you. Delia...I *cough* I'm sorry to ask you of this...but *cough*, when my daughter returns...if I'm gone. *Cough* Please, take my little girl in." Karen said before going into a coughing fit.
"I promise Karen. Calie was like a daughter I never had. I'll take her in." Delia said, and Karen gave a smile.
"That's all I wish for. Is for my little girl to have a home she can go to." Karen said, and the Nurse Joy appeared.
"I'm sorry, but your going to have to leave. Visiting hours are over." Nurse Joy said bowing and coming in.
Oak, Ash, Delia, and Gary all got up and left, saying good-bye to Karen as they left. Nurse Joy gave Karen some medicine, and laid her down, and the last thing Karen thought, with a small smile, was:
'That is my last wish.' Karen thought as sleep toke over.
Next Day: Delia answered the phone as it rang. Ash was outside playing with Gary, and Oak was watching them. Delia smiled as she did dishes, but her mind was on Karen.
"Hello, Ms. Ketchum speaking." Delia said.
Suddenly her eyes went wide as tears rolled down her cheek, and the plate she held slipped from her fingers and shattered as it hit the ground. Delia fell to her knee's, and suddenly Ash, Gary, and Oak came running in.
"Mom! We heard a plate shatter, are you alright?" Ash asked as they entered the kitchen and saw Delia crying, but she still had the phone to her ear.
"When d-did it h-happen?!" Delia demanded, crying.
"Last night ma'am. We're sorry, but there was nothing we could do. If you wish, can you please come here. She has something she wanted to give to you all." The lady on the other line said.
Delia nodded as she stood up, still crying.
"Yes, I'll come right over." Delia said as she hung up, put the phone back on the base, and began to full out cry.
"Delia, what happened?" Oak asked as he walked toward her.
She turned toward him, and began crying on his chest.
"It's Karen...s-she's g-gone!" Delia cried out, and everyone froze.
Hospital: Delia stared at the covered body of Karen, before she looked at the nurse. The nurse handed Delia and piece of paper first.
I know that I asked a lot of you, but please look after Calie. Also, when you find her and her Vulpix (Which will most likely be with her.), give Calie the ranch that has been made beside Professor Oaks' Lab. Me, my Husband, and Oak made that for Calie before she was born. There is a belt in the house in her room, grab that, and when she appears give it to her. It's a custom made belt to hold Poke-balls, and it's the color of a Shiny Ninetails. Please give it to her. This is my last wish.
Sincerely, your best friend;
Karen began to cry, and looked at Nurse, who suddenly gave Karen a bag of money, and poke-balls, as well as a Poke-dex, Poke-gear, Poke-nav, and a cellphone in case the Poke-gear should break. Each looked custom made. Karen was a well known electronic maker. Each looked like a Shiny Ninetails, and Delia smiled. She should expect nothing less of Karen. They were all in the bag, and Delia toke it, before looking at Karens' covered body.
Ash began to cry, and held his mothers side, crying, and Delia hugged back. Gary began to cry also, and Oak held him as he too began to cry. Karen was important just like Calie, but now they were more determined to find her. They were soon informed that Mightyena had also passed away just like her other Pokemon, making them cry more. They were close to everything Karen had, but that house would never be for sale. It would be forever Calies' house to go back home to, for when she return's, she'll have two homes. Delias', and when old enough, and house for herself.
